In late 2008, the resort acquired a butter warmer so guests can finally enjoy their delicious fresh popcorn with a warm butter-like topping.
Nacho Cheese Warmer Dedication Ceremony
Custom made CROCKERY-POTS, trucked in from the Midwest, allow stews, soups, and gravies to be slow cooked and served piping hot. For day-long festivities where Crockery-Pots are heavily used, neighbors can be found lingering near the Downtown Repalone property line, taking in the gentle wafts of cooking meats, cheese sauces, and savory herbs. Choose from our many on-line crockery-pot recipes.
John and Dwight are the only two DTR key holders who know the decades-old recipe for mixing, stirring and taste-testing the hot bubbly nacho cheese produced in the NACHO CHEESE WARMER. This commercial food dispenser machine heats an astonishing four gallons of cheese sauce per hour, and pumps easily onto your pre-warmed chips. Having tried several commercial tortilla brands, John recently decided to produce a unique DTR tortilla chip. Selected cast members were personally trained by John to prepare and bake corn and flower tortilla chips in the Downtown Repalone firepit.

Event Successes
In constant use during special events, the HOTDOG ROASTER gradually spins & cooks Hebrew National kosher hot dogs to perfection. During the summer months our DTR Sports Team Sponsorship & Corporate Historian Director, Mark, makes certain that resort guests are treated to ballpark-style chili dogs. Many celebrity guests have been spotted lounging at the bar, taking in a baseball game and enjoying hotdogs smothered in freshly opened canned chili.
Recently upgraded, the BBQ FACILITY includes a bi-level grill rack, stove-top area and a unique built-in TOASTER OVEN. No other facility west of the Mississippi offers similar BBQ amenities. Diners are quite used to pairing their flawlessly grilled steak or chicken with hot, freshly-browned garlic bread. (Squealers BBQ sauce is used exclusively at this facility)
During Movie Nights, delicious theatre-quality popcorn is painstakingly prepared and served
in traditional red-and-white-striped popcorn bags. John has been known to assign Karen the arduous task of culling through the kernels to pick out any that don’t meet the DTR popcorn quality standard. With only the freshest kernels in the POPCORN MACHINE, the Bar at Downtown Repalone guarantees that the finest, most flavorful, perfectly seasoned popcorn is served to discriminating guests.
The COCA-COLA MACHINE keeps bottled cola frosty and cool for thirsty guests. (DTRN Trivia fans should note this food dispenser machine counts as a refrigerator.)
Many guests have commented on how delighted they are with the bar’s *NEW* FRESH ICE MACHINE. Fresh ice, accessible directly from the bar, ensures guests no longer have to trudge to the gourmet kitchen freezer. Bartenders, Chris and Mark, share the duty of keeping the ice machine primed and ready for dispensing.
The commercial COFFEE MAKER, a bar must-have, constantly percolates freshly roasted coffee.
Cast members are equally responsible for ensuring DTR coffee is hot, fresh and aromatic. Not only do guests frequently turn to drinking coffee as an evening at the bar draws to a close, but guests who enjoy the dessert buffet also relish a strong cup of coffee to balance their consumption of cakes, pies and other delectable sweets.
On very special occasions, most notably at Christmas, the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN overflows with perfectly warm, drippy, sweet chocolate. Guest enjoy dipping all manner of food into the tempting fountain: fresh, whole strawberries; sliced bananas, oranges and mango; toasted nuts; generous portions of cubed cheese; plain or cinnamon graham crackers; bowls of Ben and Jerry's ice cream; any variety of flavored popcorn; and just about any other food at hand. Although discouraged by Karen, visitors have also been know to simply swipe their fingers through the flowing chocolate.
